According to the Chicago Tribune, Bears quarterback and future Super Bowl MVP Mitchell Trubisky has purchased a new home in Gurnee. The $950,000 “brick and cedar” house – which looks absolutely stunning, BTW – is a close drive to the Bears’ training center and FULLY LOADED:
Built in 2005, the house has 6½ baths, two fireplaces, a grand foyer, a two-story family room with a wall of windows, a first-floor den, a second floor with three en suite bedrooms, and a finished walk-out basement that includes a rec room with a wet bar and stone fireplace as well as an exercise room. Outside, the property has an outdoor kitchen, a brick patio, a fire pit and a hot tub.
Look, I’m not saying that Mitchell is living in Adam Banks house from The Mighty Ducks, but Mitchell is basically living in Adam Banks house from The Mighty Ducks:
What a cake eater.
Now – while I do enjoy my fair share of Million Dollar Listing – I’m not just writing about this to get my Fredrik Elkund on. No, I’m writing about this because our boy wonder bought Muhsin Muhammad’s old house… a house that turned out to be the last and final “L” in Moose’s problematic spin in Chicago:
Muhammad, who played for the Bears from 2005 until 2007, took a major loss on the house. He bought it new in 2005 for $1.425 million and sold it in 2011 for $940,000.
I don’t know about you, but there is about a 99.99% chance that the realtor that constructed the deal in 2011 was a Bears super fan/season ticket holder that was PISSED about the “where receivers go to die” comments in 2008.
People don’t forget… they just get even. And even to the tune of $485,000 smackers.
