It’s almost been a week since Ryan Pace and the Chicago Bears selected Roquan Smith with the eighth pick and I still can’t believe how well received he’s been among Bears fans, talking heads, scouts and other “sources” or “unnamed GM’s in the league”. If there is such a thing as a slam dunk when it comes to the draft, it looks as though Pace put his best bat on the ball as a whole.
That’s where you’ll find us on this weeks episode. We’re jacked up. Not only for Smith and what Vic Fangio can do for him and his career (Patrick Willis anyone?), but how James Daniels has the potential to be the Bears version of Marshal Yanda with Harry Hiestand by his side (trust me, we’re Hawkeyes) and what Anthony Miller brings to Matt Nagy’s offense as a Hines Ward/Steve Smith prototype.
Come on over, drink our Orange and Blue Bears Kool-Aid and indulge in the excitement.
Everything is all right
I’ll be the one to tuck you in at night
And if you want to leave I can guarantee
You won’t find nobody else like me
